Being a small school, we do rely on our parents and community members to help us out by volunteering throughout the year at a variety of activities and in a variety of ways. Some of the ways you can volunteer are:
changing 'Home readers' daily for the Year 1,2 and 3 classes
helping in tuckshop on Wednesday and Friday
helping at our swimming carnival by being in the water to help the non swimmers across the pool
helping at cross country so the children can compete safely
we don't have a groundsman, weeding the gardens would be a great help
volunteering in the classroom, especially in the literacy and numeracy times
training children in a variety of sports and athletics
helping out at Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) fundraising events
being a reader at our 'Carnival of Words' day during State Education Week
collating the newsletter each Tuesday
offering your computer knowledge to the classes.
In fact the list of ways you can be involved in the school by volunteering is only limited by your imagination. To have the range of activities we can offer at Beechmont school, we do need your help. If you can think of a way to help the children and staff, please don't be shy, contact us, we'd love to hear from you!
