P&C Association

The Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) is a group of parents and carers who work hard to build and support our school community and to make positive improvements to our school environment. The P&C plays an important role through generating funds for school initiatives that fall outside of the schools allocated budget. As a small school, any contribution you make has a huge impact on our school community. Your P&C meets twice a term and is responsible for the following services and activities.

Tuckshop

The tuckshop operates on Fridays (week 2 – week 9) during first break. The tuckshop offers a different main meal each week and is entirely staffed by volunteers. We are always looking for people who are willing to plan, shop, cook or clean!

Uniform Shop

The uniform shop supplies all branded uniform items as well as additional items for parents' convenience. It is managed by volunteers and opening hours are advertised in the school newsletter.

Mountain Mates – Outside School Hours Care (OSHC)

The P&C is the approved provider of Mountain Mates – our fabulous before and after school care program. Vacation care is also offered on a demand basis during school holidays. Enquires and registrations can be made by emailing mountainmates@bigpond.com or calling 07 55459124 outside of school hours.

 Events

Throughout the year the P&C facilitates and hosts events to build and support our school community. Events run over previous years have included Easter and Christmas raffles, Mother & Father Day stalls, Trivia nights, ANZAC Day bar, and sausage sizzles. With such a wide range of events we are sure that you will find something you will enjoy getting involved with. Perhaps you have a suggestion for a future event!

Levy

The P&C Levy is a voluntary contribution which families can make to support the activities undertaken by the P&C to support the school community. It reduces the necessity of frequent fundraising requests and allows us to focus on activities which have a benefit for our students as well as raising funds. Whilst we appreciate the financial support of families through payment of the levy, payment is not required to become a member of the P&C.

We completely understand that your time to commit to volunteering may be limited. There are a variety of opportunities to contribute as much (or as little) as you would like. As a small school we really do depend on our volunteers. If you would like to get involved, or have any questions, please email us at pandc@beechmontss.eq.edu.au
