The Health
and Physical Education program uses the National Curriculum. Students learn skills
though moving the body, understanding movement, working together, being
healthy, safe and active.
A specialist
teacher delivers the movement and physical activity component of Health and
Physical Education at our school. Students from Prep to year 6 take part in
regular weekly lessons. The Health and Physical Education program contains
developmental units comprising of the following content below.

have opportunities to demonstrate fundamental skills such as underarm/overarm
throwing, catching, rolling, bouncing, trapping, kicking and striking.

skills into simple games and activities
- Movement exploration with
bean bags and large balls
- Body movements such as
balancing, coordination and laterality as part of Perceptual Motor Program

Students practise and refine fundamental movement skills
in different situations during different activities and modified games.

- Small and Large ball skills such as
throwing, catching, bouncing, dribbling and kicking using a variety of equipment

- Tee-ball
- Modified Athletics events
and tabloids
- Running and fitness games

Students
practise specialised movement skills and apply them in different situations and
games.
